Atlantis in the Chelmsford community
Atlantis is proud to support the local communities where we live and work.
Over the years we have supported a number of local Chelmsford events and charities in providing advice and services in construction and property refurbishment.
We have also taken part in raising monies for some much needed local Chelmsford community projects.
South Woodham Lions
Director Derek Clark is a member of the South Woodham Lions part of the Worldwide Lions Club International.
The charity is by far the largest international charity fund raising organisation in the world.
Lions meet the needs of local communities globally with more than 1.3 million members in 205 countries and although geographic areas are different in many ways, we share a core belief – the community is what we make it.
Young enterprise
Director Adam Clark has advised and supported the Young Enterprise business development from 2005.
The programme is for 18-25 year olds by volunteering at Chelmsford college.
Through his role as business advisor he has shared his industry expertise with a number of young people and offered them the opportunity to develop their own learning through practical application.
Essex air ambulance
Director Adam Clark has supported and raised money for this important charity.
Essex air ambulance is crucial today in saving lives in the county.
Adam participated in a 24 hour ice skate, raising £1,190 for this worthwhile cause.
St Barnabas Woodford Green
This Anglo Catholic church is one of the focal points in the south Woodford community.
This church provides services to the elderly, young people and local residents.
As one of Atlantis’ established clients, we have supported a number of their fund raising events.
About Atlantis
Atlantis is a traditional run family construction company now in its 5th generation of building tradesman.
This family run company is built up of two directors, Adam Clark and Derek Clark both offering unique quality and experience to the chelmsford based business.
Adam Clark
Adam started out at a young age working with his father Derek at weekends and evenings in between school.
As well as working alongside Derek, he also studied information technology at Chelmsford College which was furthered at APU Chelmsford studying Multimedia Systems.
Adam believes in constant development, he has also studied and achieved his Level 4 Site Management, he is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Building (ACIOB) and is currently studying towards full membership (MCIOB)
Derek Clark
Derek has been in the industry for over 35 years including; working as a labourer in his fathers business, a construction site carpenter, site manager, project manager, contracts manager through to construction director.
Derek provides vast experience having worked at all levels in his construction career.
He has continued his academic qualifications by achieving his MCIOB (Member of the chartered institute of Building) as well as BSc in Construction Technology.
